UFO fleet sails over Raven Street Church in New Orleans

On Saturday, November 12, 2011, a spectacular UFO fleet was observed moving slowly across the sky above Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana late at night.

One person who witnessed the event was able to record the UFO fleet as it passed overhead. The video was posted online by a 45-year-old musician, theologian, and paranormal enthusiast named Tim on MegaCOOK28's Channel. It is unclear whether Tim is also the videographer.

Over the course of four and a half minutes, more than three dozen glowing orange orbs were seen over Raven Street Church. The area just beneath the moving UFOs was filled with noisy crowds of people on Bourbon Street. Some of those present simply went about their business while others stared up into the sky at the unidentified flying objects gliding high above them.

The UFO footage on the left side of this page shows that the objects were all heading in the same direction. They appeared to be the same size and glowed with the same internal orange light. Although the objects have not been identified, they do resemble Chinese lanterns being guided by a light breeze.

THE latest sighting of a UFO belongs to a well-known and very concerned celebrity.

LA Galaxy and former Manchester United and Real Madrid soccer player David Beckham's wife, former Spice Girl and now fashion designer Victoria Beckham, Tweeted: "UFO hovering above our house last night!!!!!" X vb" and posted a picture of the said UFO.

With new baby Harper Seven perhaps wearing her out and perhaps still having back pain, 37-year-old Victoria has joined a list of celebrity sightings of UFOs.

Robbie Williams has seen them, and just last week, Miley's father and country crooner, Billy Ray Cryrus, spotted his own visitation.

It's as if the adoration of planet Earth isn't enough for our limelight loving celebrities and they need new worlds to conquer.

And if you think about it, Victoria's fashion line - crammed with slim silhouettes as it is - would suit the classic skinny alien with large head template we've learned to expect as our most likely intergalatic visitor, Mail Online reported.

But what was it that Victoria saw above the Beckham family home?

At first glance, it appears to a luminous full moon but that was not possible. Helicopters though are a regular sighting in the area, which is the most obvious explanation.

Aliens Over For Dinner

Stephan Hawking, the famous physicist and cosmologist, has a known stance on whether or not we should try and contact alien life and invite them over for tea: “Don’t.” I was excited when I learned that a famous intellectual giant had the same opinion about contacting aliens as I did. I hadn’t read much about the reasons for his stance until I was doing a bit of homework for this post. Here’s a link to a well done article summarizing his rationale. The best distillation is in this quote:

“If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn’t turn out well for the Native Americans,” he said. “We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn’t want to meet.”

While speculating about the nature of alien life is extremely difficult (because it’s hard not to anthropomorphize) I am prepared to make a couple of deductions and few inferences, all of which are open to modification in light of good arguments or evidence. First off, I think it is uncontroversial that all complex life in the universe evolved from simpler beginnings. There is only one mechanism that has ever been discovered or plausibly hypothesized that creates complex life: evolution. I am willing to wager that all life in the universe started out simply and was forged into more complex machinery over time. The details are known about life here on Earth, but I don’t want to presume that all life in the universe reproduces in a way that would be recognizable as reproduction to us. The only thing I am saying is that any complex life on other planets didn’t pop into existence in a flash of complexity arising out of simplicity. It must have evolved from simpler beginnings – the alternative is too improbable to take seriously. There are good reasons to think that life everywhere would need resources, just like life here needs them. Organisms on Earth need a steady stream of chemicals to keep them going. I wouldn’t presume to fathom the details about an life that originated independently on another planet but I think it is safe to say that, if those organisms did stuff like move or think, they would need energy to do it. Whether they would get it from chemicals in their environment the way animals do or from utilizing photons the way plants do or in some other way isn’t really important for this discussion. If they need resources, and they are to survive, they’ll need to compete for them like plants and animals do here on Earth. As long as that’s the case, it isn’t a completely unreasonable leap to assume that, once the life on that other world attains a level of complexity that it develops consciousness, it will have some of the same resource-hoarding and selfish behavior hardwired into it that we have hardwired into us. And as long as that’s the case, inviting them over to visit might not be the best idea. They probably wouldn’t just jump out of their ship guns blazing, but if they saw something they liked or needed and we weren’t willing to surrender it, they could just take it by force. Sort of like the movie Avatar, except backwards. Oh, and I should mention that, unlike every movie with aliens in it, it is unlikely that through sheer human will we would be able to stop them. Unfortunately, technology trumps will-power. And if they have the technology to traverse the universe and find us, they would probably be able to wipe us aside with very little trouble. Of course, they might be more humane than that. I certainly hope so, but I wouldn’t want to stake the future of our species on it. There is a chance that we too will develop into being humane, instead of just human. Still, food for thought!

The filmmakers behind "Revelations of the Mayans 2012 and Beyond," who said that their film will reveal evidence of contact between the Mayans and extraterrestrials, have now released to TheWrap what they claim is photographic evidence of a pre-Mayan, alien civilization.
And they claim they've got Stephen Hawking on their side.

Producer Raul Julia-Levy supplied a photo (left), which he says was taken in southern Guatemala in the 1930s, showing a head carved in the jungle.
The monument, according to an accompanying letter by archaeologist Hector E. Mejia, dates back to between 3,500 and 5,000 B.C. and is evidence of a superior civilization unlike any known to have lived on Earth.

Mejia described the photograph as being "of a bust which at first glance can be seen to have an elongated cranium and fine characteristics which are not consistent with pre-Hispanic races of America."
"I certify that this monument presents no characteristics of Maya, Nahuatl, Olmec or any other pre-Hispanic civilization," he wrote. "It was created by an extraordinary and superior civilization with awesome knowledge of which there is no record of existence on this planet."
The photo is one of several purported pieces of evidence that will be shown in Julia-Levy's documentary, which he is making with the cooperation of the Mexican and Guatemalan governments keyed to 2012, the date the Mayan calendar ends.
"This explains who we are," said Julia-Levy, the son of actor Raul Julia. "This explains why these big f---ing monuments are all around the world."
And Julia-Levy then passed along a direct quote that, he claimed, came from no less than Stephen Hawking, whom he said "is going to work with us" and will be included in his film: "'I warn humanity that aliens are out there. Just because the aliens were friends with the Mayans doesn't mean they are our friends. Humans should avoid contact with aliens at all costs.'"

An email sent to a representative for Hawking asking about the authenticity of the quote was not answered.
Hawking has in the past said that that alien life is likely to exist in the universe ("to my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly natural"), and has speculated about the dangers of contact.
"If aliens ever visit us," Hawking has said, "I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn't turn out very well for the Native Americans."
TheWrap has been unable to unearth any instances of Hawking saying anything about the aliens ever contacting or being friends with the Mayans.
But Julia-Levy insisted that the words are Hawking's. He also claimed government conspiracies surrounding the photo and the head it depicts: After the photo was taken in the late 1930s, he said, it was published only once, in a magazine that was then immediately withdrawn from circulation by "the government of England."
He also said the head depicted in the photo, 17 meters (51 feet) tall and six meters wide, is no longer in the Guatemalan jungle but has been moved to the United States and hidden.
"I was informed by officials in the government of Guatemala that the U.S. government brought it here," he said.
According to Meija, "The creative style is not consistent with the civilizations that inhabited the southern coast of Guatemala prior to the arrival of the Spaniards ... It is indisputably pre-Olmec and pre-Maya ... [O]ne can assign an age between 3,500 and 5,000 BC."
Mejia is a licensed archaeologist affiliated with the Atlas Arqueological de Guatemala and the Institute of Anthropology and History in Guatemala, and with the University of San Carlos. His statement was written in Spanish; TheWrap had it translated.
Mejia goes on to compare it to other monuments, including "the Moais of Easter Island," "the Pascual Abaj monument ... in Guatemala" and "the Great Sphinx in Egypt." He said it was "created by an extraordinary and superior civilization" that "settled in the south of Guatemala and from there shone its light and knowledge on the hunter gatherers who were its first students and received its teachings."

Julia-Levy said that Mejia is part of an international team of archaeologists and other professionals assembled by the filmmakers because they are "willing to tell the world the truth" about the Mayan/alien connection.
"We have a gang of archaeologists and scholars and scientists that are going to come forward and show everything they have," he said.
And, he swears, governments will do the same.
"I was told by the officials that the Mayans and the extraterrestrials had a history of exchange," he said. "This is official. This is as official as it can get."
Added Julia-Levy, "The world hasn't seen this. Nobody has seen this. But there's no doubt in my mind that the world is ready for the truth.
"This is going to create a worldwide impact in how people see things."
His movie, by the way, has yet to begin shooting. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in Mexico and Guatemala in mid-November.

It has long been theorized that encounters with extraterrestrials are nearly always the result of spontaneous out-of-body experience. The OOBE Research Center has proven this by means of an experiment. FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!

The experiment was developed and conducted by Michael Raduga, founder and head of the OOBE Research Center. Place and time of the experiment: October 7-9, 2011; UCLA Covel Commons, Los Angeles, California, USA.

Aim of the Experiment

Test the theory that most “encounters” with UFOs or extraterrestrials arise from hyper-realistic experiences when in subwaking states of consciousness, and out-of-body experiences or lucid dreams in particular. Method for collecting evidence: induce controllable contact with UFOs or “extraterrestrial beings” using techniques for achieving out-of-body experiences.

Test Subjects

20 volunteers were recruited from both the general population and those who have had experience in out-of-body travel or lucid dreaming. Preference was given to those who fall asleep quickly and enjoy sound sleep. Male/female ratio: 70/30 (%).

Methods

The method of cycling indirect techniques developed by the OOBE Research Center over 2007-2011 was employed in order for test subjects to achieve an out-of-body experience within the shortest frame of time. The method consists in attempting to separate from the body immediately upon awakening. If unsuccessful, the subject then alternates special techniques for 3 to 5 seconds over the course of a minute. If some technique begins to yield results, then the subject should keep with it, intensify the sensations, and once again try to separate from the body. The method is described in detail in the book School of Out-of-Body Travel. A Practical Guidebook (free).

After exiting the body, subjects were instructed to find “extraterrestrials” or UFOs in their room, in neighboring rooms, beyond the window, or outside.

Outcome

The majority of subjects underwent at least one full or partial out-of-body experience, while some experienced several. Subjects who became conscious while dreaming were instructed to transform the “lucid dream” into an out-of-body experience by returning to the physical body in order to separate from it.

Visual contact with UFOs or “extraterrestrials”: 10 cases for 7 volunteers (35%)

(Some other volunteers were close to achieve the same result, but were unable due to overwhelming fear in the right moment)

The fact that UFOs and extraterrestrials may be deliberately encountered in a controlled manner and within a few days proves that such experiences are a product of the human brain. It was the first experiment to ever prove that close encounters with UFOs and extraterrestrials are a product of the human mind. The experiment also demonstrated that alien contact is not indicative of the existence of otherworldly civilizations, but rather of a poorly studied state of consciousness that people occasionally fall into inadvertently (the Phase).

Comparison of ET Encounter Descriptions

The experiment results differ from typical cases of “alien abduction” only in that here, both entrance into the necessary state and contact were intentional. The resultant range sensations and experiences was identical in all other aspects: sleep paralysis, fear, vibrations, flight,  etc.

One of our news crews spotted some mysterious lights in the sky during Tuesday's 11 p.m. news, and now we're trying to figure out what it was.

A series of glowing reddish lights, almost like floating flames, dominated the sky Tuesday night in University Heights looking east. The unidentified objects soared into the darkness, eventually appearing to burn themselves out, adding to the intrigue. Police say they had no reports of any unusual sky activity, nor did renowned local astronomer Dennis Mammana.

"Something like this would have definitely crossed my radar screen," he said.

Tuesday night's sighting comes at a time of other popular sky shows, from the Northern Lights to last month's meteor show.

"A few weeks ago you had that great fireball crossing the sky. People saw it all the way from Las Vegas to San Diego," Mammana said.

So what were the mysterious balls of fire?

"The fact they were ascending sounds like they were being fired from some place on the ground," Mammana said.

One theory is floating Chinese sky lanterns -- essentially mini-hot air balloons -- that are carried into the air by rising heat from candles, or flares burning inside them. Mammana says in the past he has witnessed similar fireworks in the sky.

"Sparklers, flares... I don't know if it was these Chinese fireworks, but it can be quite befuddling if you walk away without watching them," he said.

Whether or not what we saw last night was actually Chinese sky lanterns is not clear. What is certain though is fire officials say launching these devices clearly presents a fire hazard, and whoever is responsible for setting them off could be held responsible for any damage they may cause.

A similar phenomenon of glowing red lights floating in the sky was reported in El Cajon back on New Year's Eve 2009. While never officially determined, fire officials at that time said they were most likely sky lanterns as well.

Military veteran: 'What I saw tonight was not anything I have ever seen before'

An Arizona witness with a strong military background was unable to identify a "dark, boomerang object with about 15 to 20 white lights in front" and the "size of a standard size house" as it passed silently overhead under 1,500 feet at 8:37 p.m. on October 19, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was outside on a back patio facing west.

"I am 46 years old and have served in the Navy back in the 80's ad 90's as an F-14 mechanic," the witness stated. "I have been exposed to just about every type of military aircraft and their general capabilities. I am also a Cessna private pilot. With that being said, what I observed tonight while sitting on my back patio went against every type of known aircraft I have been exposed to including any on TV."

The movement in the sky at first appeared to be a flock of birds "glowing pure white."

"I then realized what I was observing was some sort of aircraft that was in the shape of a boomerang that had on the front leading edges of the aircraft approximately 15-20 white lights from wing tip to wing tip including the center. At that time it was now directly in front of me traveling in a due south course following Highway 347 almost to the center of my town. I live in a small town. I estimate based on my military and private pilot experience it was traveling around 500 knots. It passed to my left and I was not able to observe any red or green anti-collision lights or the required white tail light."

The witness noticed that the object did not give off any emission.

"In my experience I knew a military type aircraft flying at this speed would have some telltale sign of emission from the tailpipes and none was observed. I was approximately 1/4 to no more then 1/2 mile from this object that appeared to be the size of a standard size house I estimate its altitude to have been around 1,000-1,500 feet. It made zero sound. When it was in my center field of vision, I could see clearly it was a boomerang-shaped aircraft that had a very dark skin color that caused it to contrast with the night sky and allow its shape to be easily seen as it flew by."

The object then made an abrupt course change.

"This aircraft traveled for another 4-5 seconds and then made a very abrupt course change to a westerly course from its southern course. This course change caused me at that time to lose any sight of the aircraft. It appeared to follow the Union Pacific Railroad line going west."

The witness called two area military bases and the local police department. Neither bases were flying in the area where the witness lives and the police had no other witness yet on record describing the same object.

"What I saw tonight was not anything I have ever seen before and the flight capabilities were not of anything I have seen in my F-14 experience or in other military jet aircraft I have been exposed to. Its ability to make such an abrupt course change defies Newton Law of an object in motion stays in motion. We currently don't have any known advance technology to affect that sort of abrupt course change. If this was in fact a secret military test aircraft, then I would say we have advanced significantly in our technology and have somehow been able to develop structural technology that is able to resist high G-force levels both positive and negative.

"What disproves this theory to me is it takes a lot of energy to make such a turn and it requires extremely strong flight controls to force such an abrupt course change and that would have caused the aircraft to emit some level of noise and this aircraft was extremely quite. It would have caused a significant amount of stress on the airframe and on the flight crew."

No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report, which was filed on October 20, 2011. The events occurred on October 19, 2011. No images or videos were included with the report. The above quotes were edited for clarity.

Arizona is a current UFO ALERT 3 rating, with a high number of UFO sightings nationally. Arizona had 39 reports in September 2011 - the 4th highest reporting state - while California had 86 UFO reports - the highest reporting state in the nation.

AZ, October 19, 2011 - Dark boomerang object with about 15-20 white lights in front. MUFON Case 32741.

First off let me say I am 46 years old and have served in the Navy back in the 80's ad 90's as an F-14 mechanic. I have been exposed to just about every type of military aircraft and their general capabilities. I am also a Cessna private pilot. With that being said what I observed tonight while sitting on my back patio went against every type of known aircraft I have been exposed to including any on TV.

At 2037 hours (8:37PM) I was smoking a cigarette on my back patio sitting in my chair facing directly west. Out of the corner of my right eye I caught a movement and turned my head to the right and saw what initially appeared to me to be a flock of birds glowing pure white flying due south. About 2 seconds after my initial observation I thought to myself wait a minute, its nighttime and birds don't glow in the dark.

I then realized what I was observing was some sort of aircraft that was in the shape of a boomerang that had on the front leading edges of the aircraft approximatley 15-20 white lights from wing tip to wing tip including the center. At that time it was now directly in front of me traveling in a due south course following highway 347 almost to the center of my town. I live in a small town. I estimate based on my military and private pilot experience it was traveling around 500 knots. It passed to my left and I was not able to observe any red or green anti-collision lights or the required white tail light.

In my experience I knew a military type aircraft flying at this speed would have some tailtale sign of emmission from the tailpipes and none was observed. I was approximately 1/4 to no more then 1/2 mile from this object that appeared to be the size of a standard size house I estimate its altitude to have been around 1,000-1,500 feet. When it was in my center field of vision I could see clearly it was a boomerang shaped aircraft that had a very dark skin color that caused it to contrast with the night sky and allow its shape to be easily seen as it flew by.

I called my sister inlaw who lives about 3 blocks to my west as it appeared to have changed course right over her house and asked her if she was outside smoking and did she see any object fly by. She stated she was outside at that time but did not see or hear any aircraft. She was under her patio cover so if it went over her house she would not have been able to see it.

I immediately called Luke Airforce base 556th Fighter Squadron and inquired as to whether they were currently conducting any night time operations in this area or the Barry Goldwater range about 40 miles southwest of me and the duty officer stated no, they were not currently conducting any operations in our area. Note: we sometimes see Lukes F-16 fly over us on there way to the range but it is always in the day time and not at night. I gave the duty officer a brief of what I observed and he entered it into his duty log.

I then called my local police dispatch and inquired if anybody including any of the on duty patrol officers had reported any unidentified aircraft flying over town at a low altitude in the last 15 minutes and she respinded that they have not received any other reports at that time. I gave her a quick brief of my observation.

Closing comments: I have never seen an unidentified flying object before and this is the first time I have ever made a report on one to anybody. I was not drinking and I am of sound mind. I have usually laughed about other people alleged sightings including one my brother and mother reported to me awhile back. What I saw tonight was not anything I have ever seen before and the flight capabilities were not of anything I have seen in my F-14 experience or in other military jet aircraft I have been exposed to. Its ability to make such an abrubt course change defies newton law of an object in motion stays in motion. We currently don't have any known advance technology to effect that sort of abrupt course change.
